Another installment of my growing obsession with Mitfordiana—what one of the sisters dubbed “La Triviata”—this collection of over 500 letters exchanged between the six sisters over something like sixty years is to be marveled at; there is no match in modern culture for the witty, brilliant, prolific, exhuberant Mitfords, and more’s the pity for it.
